Janu Track Bike Historic 1920's Original Watt's Bike
Janu Track Bike Historic 1920's Original Watt's Bike
So here is the history behind this amazing bike.
This bike came from the son of the original owner. It was built for a rider named Watts. He was a very popular racer in the 20s and 30s in the Newark Nj and Nutlet Nj velodromes. It was built by a man named Janu, who was one of the best builders of the time. The bike was ridden by the son his whole life until about 15 years ago, he is now 80.
We will provide photos of this exact bike racing on the velodrome, local ads featuring "Can Watts make kilowatts?" which was a local saying for the racer, we even have copies of Watts' amateur and professional racing licenses. If the tubes were replaced, it would be perfectly rideable. It just needs a new set of tube and it is ready to go.
Do not miss this chance to own a truly vintage, collectors item. If you want something unique, somethings special, here is your chance. Contact us if you want to see more detail pictures or if you want to make an offer for the bike. sales@bikingthings.com
